CONSULAR ACTS, SERVICES AND FEES.

• Registration of Gambian citizens in the Consulate. Free of charge
• Police clearance declaration of incorrect personal data on identity documents issued by Italian authorities (Certificato di Concordanza) . Fee €25
• Translation of documents and declarations. Fee €25 per page.
• Certificates, declarations, attestations for Italian Tax ID Code (Codice Fiscale) to enjoy the compensation between income and expenses, clearance (Nullaosta) for legal marriage. Fee €30
• Power of Attorney for underage who have to go abroad accompanied by a single parent or guardian or third party. The presence of all interested parties (parents, guardians etc.) along with the original passport and Italian visa is required for duly fill up and signing of the application. Fee of 30 € for each signature.

All documents will be ready within a week. Gambian citizens may come to pick up the documents during public hours. Upon request of the applicant this Consular Office also uses registered mail with tracking number to send the documents to him. This additional postal charge has a cost of 15 €.

Issuing of a Gambian Passport:

General Guidelines: The adult applicant must be personally present along with his personal documents. The minor must be accompanied by both parents bearer of Gambian passports.

Procedure Guidelines: The applicant must come personally to this Consulate to duly fill in and sign the application form in front of the Consul who will authenticate the signature, the attached documents and make a file. Subsequently the Consular Office will send the file by postal service or through Gambian citizens to the Immigration Department in Banjul, which currently, is the only office authorized to issue passports for Gambian citizens living at home or abroad. Issuing passport .fee 80€.

Given that the aforementioned shipping ways caused the file to be lost or seized by the international border police at the transit airports, this Consular office has decided to send to Banjul the applicant’s file by commissioning for shipment the authorized international courier DHL which issues and signs a special delivery receipt and guarantees delivery to the recipient. The cost for this service is of 20€ roundtrip (from Milan to Banjul and back to Milan). Therefore the cost of the issuing passport with shipping amounts to 100€.

If exceptionally the applicant requests for specific reasons of a consular declaration confirming the genuinity of the passport he can apply and the Consulate will issue the appropriate affidavit. Fee 25€.
